Thanks guys! That gives me some great places to start. I'm pretty confident in the mechanical side of things (assuming I've got a good shop manual) and the only bits I'd have to farm out would be paint/body. I'm assuming you typically get these salvage bikes and don't have to have the frames straightened? (I"m comfortable replacing the triple tree's, etc.)
Travel definately won't be a problem. I've got a truck to pick it up and a trailer if need be, along with a pretty flexible work schedule. (love road trips. :) ) Anyway, thanks again. I figure over the next 12 months I can educate myself about prices and then go shopping. Have a good one, Dave |
