I have noticed, across the board among ALL people, spelling is pretty terrible. Oddly enough, the *worst* people I personally know for spelling and grammar all have masters degrees. One guy I worked with had THREE masters degrees. His spelling and grammar are so atrocious, when he sends you an email, you often have to call him to ask him what he intended to say.
Among the online community, there are only 3 or 4 of us who seem to know "Lose" & "Loser" are spelled with one 'o' and "Loose" & "Looser" are the opposite of "Tight" & "Tighter"

If you were using firefox, you'd see mispelled words underlined as you type. Right click on that wurd and it gives alternatives or the option to ignore or add to dictionary...

I'm glad Harley crowd is a friendly crowd. Seriously. I've riden motorcycles for a long time.
The nicest is the Harley crowd.
I've noticed though that the spelling is terrible.
Thus the title to this thread.
As expensive as the hobby is, one might get the impression that these folks are compensated very well -must be educated to recieve such compensation to afford such a hobby.
But Dang it's freakin opposite, no 1 ever took any spelling lessons, no one bother to click the spell checker button,
I sure ain't no language instructor, or degreed english teacher, I mean my grammar isn't even close to proper, just making observations.
