Default Leather Jacket Storage

any advice on storing a leather riding jacket when not in use? Mine is a Fox Creek, so damn heavy. No chance I am going to throw a hanger in that jacket and shove it in the closet........two little pointed tips on the shoulders of my jacket would bug the heck out of me. So......I just lay the jacket on a shelf. Anyone have other storage options?

You want to use a wide hanger so the air can get around it. My new jacket came with a heavy duty hanger.I hear the Fox Creek leathers are the way to go.

Get a good wooden suit hanger, they are much wider than a normal (cheap) hanger.

Go to a surfing or diving store and buy a wetsuit hanger. Much more heavy duty.

We have always used the wide wooden hangers, along with feeding the leather every couple of years.

Just throw it on the floor in back of the closet, or in the trunk of the cage. When spring comes around, the shine may have worn off, and you'll begin to see what biker attire is supposed to look like...

I use a heavy plastic suit hanger that fills right into the shoulders and keeps the jackets 100% in shape

all good advice. also, clean it before you store it. get the bugs off at least. I will do this soon....maybe around spring riding time...but then the bugs will be out again too so....ah, the heck with it.

Like others have said, just use a wide hanger. I use one on my Fox Creek jackets all year round and no problems. Also, clean and condition your jacket before you put it away and all will be good. He!!, even that is overkill IMO.
