as far as putting the tubes back in the trees, location is not as critical as having both left and right tubes even. usually 1/16 to 1/8 of an inch of the tube, not the nut protruding from the top of the tree.
that makes sense.
i got most of the parts needed for the project, so it's looking like next weekend will be go time. i'll post an update then.
