It cost a whole lot more than buying the tools to do it yourself

At the dealership 14" bars with all the cables cost me around $300. I was planning on having somebody local come put them on for me (school full time/work full time/I drift from place to place = no time or tools) but that never panned out. After a few months I just decided to go to the dealership and have them swap the bars, install the front and rear turn signal relocation kits, and the smart siren I had laying around. The labor came out to around $600 with external wiring. Well worth it in my opinion. They did a great job and went above and beyond for me. That reminds me that I need to post a story about how awesome Cowboy Harley was to me.

Man, i'm so glad I do everything myself. I found my bars on here from some guy for 120, with all the stainless braided cables. Four hours and I know it's done right. Internal wired. lol

I paid $900 for my local indy to install mine (ran wires internally) but they also cut off all the wires to my signals, headlight and started from scratch....every wire looked like it was 30 years old....brand new connectors, soldering , heat wrapped.(really clean install)....they also removed my chrome belt guard (which was cracked at the mounting bracket) and welded it like new....flushed my tranny and new fluids....and topped it all off by polishing every piece of chrome on my bike (even took stuff off so they could get to more chrome, just to polish it).....they earned that $900
