When i ride with a full face helmet I see no need for ear plugs no matter how fast i'm going, but when no helmet I can see the need. Like this past Sunday me and my girl was on my Z1000 and was on the freeway for about 25 miles at 75 MPH with no lids on and my ear hurt like crazy after we stopped. Lext time I go for a freeway ride with no lid I'm going to use some plugs

I use "Silencio" ones for shooting and riding on longer trips. They are not the foam throw a ways there reusable. They are made of silicone or something like it, you squish em down between your fingers and pop em in and they expand in your ear. They are very comfortable for me. I do plan to have a custom molded set made next time I'm somewhere where they make em though.

I've been using the disposable ones for years and work great for me. In a pinch you can wash them with soap and water and let them dry over night. Seem to work better after they're washed.

I've had a constant ringing/white noise type sound in the ears for a very long time. I've always figured mine was from way too many rock concerts.

+1.......I had some made for $25, custom fitted to the ear canal. Cuts down on wind noise but still allows me to hear my motorcycle and everything around me. Also, protects my ears from tinnitus.

At our airline, we have tried just about every disposable earplug in the market!!

Without a doubt the best is the Moldex Pura-Fit 6800!!

You can get them on Amazon for 25.00 for 200 pairs! I use them all the time when riding!!

Gilbert, it's on the Iron Range up north. It's my home town, just going up for my yearly vacation time. First time taking the bike up though. Wifey is going to be driving our car so we can bring our dog and clothes and all that stuff. She loves riding on this bike but she cringed a little at the thought of a 1000 mile trip done all at once, even on the touring pillion.

I use the Etymotic ER-20's that let me hear everything, just at a lower volume.
