Dish washer+ parts washer?
Has anyone used a dish washer as a parts washer. Pros vs cons. I would like to try this for my outer primary cover when the wife is away.

Nothing like a man who likes living on the edge. For some reason women think of dish washer about the same we think of our bikes. That is the only con I can think of.

Dishwasher soap is at the least mildy abrasive, no way I would use it on any bike part I wouldn't want scratched.
The cons with washing any vehicle parts in the dishwasher are that it may very well make you single. The pros to washing any vehicle parts in the dishwasher are that it may very well make you single.

Well, I wouldn't want to eat off of plates and flatware that have been washed in a dishwasher after oil-laden parts had been washed in it. Also, it's best to wash parts in a solvent to clean the oil residue.......hence a parts washer.

if its a polished part wash it by hand with dawn or other liquid dish soap, if its a non polished part then fill yer boots and run it through the dishwasher, they made the top rack removable for a reason. also the oven works great for curing paint on small parts and powder coating

if these guys scare you off of using the dishwasher and you still need your parts cleaned up, just take a couple of her new bath towels out of the linen closet and use those. you know, the big fluffy ones.
