anyone ever thought of installing reirview camera with lcd display up front?
i got to thinking about that the other day, since icant see squat in my mirrors besides my shoulders or forarms. and the tech available today would make setting one up easy and good looking too

I can't speak to legal issue but I would think that in our highly regulated society you have to have at least one.
Personally I would never ride without them. I am constantly watching what is going on behind me and keeping track of my options for when things change in front or to the side of me.

No mirrors? That would be an interesting traffic stop. Cop chasing you down for 5 miles because you're riding without mirrors but you don't know it because... well... you have no mirrors. Then for some Rodney King action.

i have a friend with an old 42 u model. when it was built it didn't come with mirrors. he rides it without mirrors and got stopped once for no mirrors. he doesn't need mirrors because he's grandfathered in for no mirrors because it wasn't a stock item. no ticket was issued.

I really like mirrors, to me it is vital to see behind when turning off a major roadway. I had someone come up on me so fast in a few instances when I was getting ready to turn I actually ended up not turning. It looked like they just were not gonna stop. Had I been operating without mirrors, I may have been hit.

I have always thought it was a federal {US} law that you hadda have at least one. I do know several states I have lived in have required them.
And by the way {in my opinion} you are an idiot poser if you don't. I remember a 'Happy Days' episode where Fonzi asks Ritchie if his mirrors look cooler facing up or down. Ritchie asks which way can you see better? What difference does that make?, replies the ulta cool Fonzi. Same as pulling all the reflectors off your bike, and then complaining that no one sees you. Then some of you try to make it more difficult not to see 'them'?!?!
Just sayin'

I'm sure each state has different regs, but here in Ohio if a bike was manufactured with mirrors, you're required to have at least ONE on the bike...
My one mirror is on the left...
