Why don't you give the boys at Mean City Cycles a call and see what they will charge to recover that seat pan?

I have done this and documented it here:
https://www.hdforums.com/forum/touri...m-project.html

Get the real deal Nasa grade memory foam. If you cant find any my guy can ship it. MMC may sell it also. It is not cheap In fact the foam in mine cost as much as a new seat.
My seat turned out ugly as hell but I was going for comfort.

Actually if you get any "sturdy" mid density foam, then find some air foam (has like 3/8" holes all the way thru 3/8 apart, x 1" thick) and use that on top, you'll find it more comfortable. Memory foam doesn't recover fast enough, nor does gel, if you move your *** it stays matted down too long for comfort.
