They offered me 14,000. Same as any other SG in tbs shape. Plus. I didn't pay for the paintset. Freight or set up. It was cheaper than the standards.

I say if you're happy with the bike but tired of the colour, paint it. It's not like the anniversary colours are going to fetch you more money when it comes time to sell. Unless maybe you garage it for 20 years.

When looking at mods for my bikes i never consider resale. I make the mods based on my taste. In your case, it would obviously be cheaper to just repaint your original tins. As for repainting an anniversy model, i don't think it much matters for your bike. First, because the 105th is not a big anniversary. Second, the Duracell theme is not that popular. As far as resale, i think a nice quality paint job will fetch just a much $$ as the original tins.

Mine is a 100th anniversary bike. You would have to look real hard to tell though. the only 100th badge left on the bike is the little one on the engine cases.

I agree on the 105th being nothing major. Stupid actually. I bought it for the color. And all the guys saying it's ugly. That's cool. Because I asked your opinion on that. Didn't I? Oh that's right. This was about painting an anniversary model. Not the copper color. But anyway. If your opinion of the color mattered I would have asked.

I'm gonna paint it. Save the badges for a rainy day. I'm keeping it for a few more years. Love the bike. Just time for a new skin.

Thanks.

Waiting on an estimate now. I think it'll really stand out. And in a good subtle way. Gonna get the tank emblems too if I can. I'll scan a pic tomorrow and post it in this thread. Pic is from about 1970. Me and my bro sitting on it.

Mine is an anniversary Fat Boy.
If I could afford to do it right, I would paint it no question.
