Ypsi is a cool little town. My daughter starts school there in a month so Ive been up there but Im no expert. They have some very cool little museums and a great place to eat are the restaurants in Depot Town. Also in Depot Town is a small little cafe racer shop with some very old Triumps, Honda, Ducati, etc....

They used to have a cruise-in in Depot Town every Thursday evening. There is a good little restaurant/bar in Depot, but I don't remember the name. It is a very old building that converted to an ice cream parlor during probation. I worked in the Ypsi/Ann Arbor area on and off for 12 years, not much to see, or do there. South of Ypsi, about 15 miles, on Route 23, is the world's largest Cabelas. The town is Dundee. I don't even hunt or fish and could spend hours in there looking around. They have a huge aquarium, and a 40 foot tall mountain with all kinds of stuffed game. On Wednesday night's at the Milan Speedway, in Milan, they have test and tune. I think they charge a few bucks to get in and watch. At the speedway they also have a motocross track that they have practice sessions on the same night. I think that is about 3 bucks to watch. Once a month during the summer, at Livonia, Jack Roush opens up his personal museum of his own cars to the public. He also has a cruise-in outside of the building, in the parking lot. I don't know what weekend in the month it is though. All of this is within 15-20 miles of Ann Arbor/Ypsi. They also have tons of bars and restaurants in downtown AA. It is home to U of M.

Take a pass on Cabela's if you were planning on checking it out. Stopped in there a couple weeks ago and half the store is tore up as they are remodeling. Henry Ford Museum is in Dearborn. Casino's in Detroit. Tony Packo's (from the M*A*S*H series) is in Toledo, Oh.

I've spent TONS 'O Time in Ann Arbor, or A2 as many call it. My son played football there a few years ago, so you can imagine the times we were there.

For starts, I'd suggest going to the U of M Football Stadium. They don't call it the "Big House" for nothing! It's an amazing site and has recently been remodeled and enlarged.

Secondly, there are several eating establishments there that are really good. Be sure to check out Zingermans http://www.zingermans.com/AboutUs.aspx They have several different places to visit, all of which are really cool. The deli is awesome!

Also, be sure to check out the Gandy Dancer for kind of an up-scale dinning experience. The place is located in a restored train depot. Located at 401 Depot Street.

Be sure to walk around the U of M Campus, or at least ride around some. It's a pretty place and plenty to eat and do there.

Have a good time!

Ok, the place in Depot Town (ypsi) you want to go to is called the "Side Track". it's right next to the train tracks hence the name. it was voted top 10 burgers in the U.S. on one of those food channel TV shows. Tuesday night is bike night in Depot town. I go often. If you see an Orange/Black 04' Screamin Eagle its me. Say Hi. also the beer fest is in (or called) German park in A2 and it is only the last Saturday of the month June,July and August. Theres a huge Harley dealer about 30 minutes away in Taylor Mi, on Telegraph. It was called "Motown" when I worked there. Now it's biker Bob's Motown.
American Harley in A2 (about 15 min away) is a cool dealership but not huge like Motown. PM me for specific questions I'll be happy to help!
