After reading all your symptoms - it sounds like you hit the jackpot with HD issues.
Take it in if it's under warranty. All the problems you describe are major teardown fixes.
When my bearing let go there were shiny bits of chrome flaking in the oil. Bigger then the "normal" gray stuff.
Your leak behind the Primary Cover could be several things. Main Drive Gear seal (likely if the bearing went), Mainshaft Output seals (either at the MDG or the Primary Inner), Shifter Seal, Starter O-ring, or any of the Inner primary sealing bolts.
Only a small mirror or teardown will give you your answer.
Good luck

The IPB inner race and the Mainshaft were redesigned in 08 - presumably to go metric. Also the trans packaging is different as the 6-speed progressed through the years. Why? Most likely to take care of trans reliability. I think anything after 10 will have a fairly bulletproof trans.
You'll still hear of problems with those too - but the incidence rate seems to lower the further you get from the 07's.
It's something Harley obviously know's about, and have been dilegently rectifying - quitely!
Like I said earlier in this thread - it's not the bearing itself (otherwise HD would just source a different manufacurer or design), it's the related components, and they have been doing that, to them.

No. My point is, how many folks with these problems are exceeding the GVWR of their bikes and I'll damn well post in any forum that I want to, except for the Ladies forum of course.

BadBobOk, I have reviewed your profile as well, and conclude that you may in fact, damn well post in any forum you choose, except for the Ladies forum, of course. (We have a ladies forum?) I do acknowledge my posts and opinions mean nothing, but still, it's where I stand on the issue.
