New Apes & Chrome Hand Controls … Went with 16’s Had to take all the old police hand control wiring and eliminate it.
New connectors and just paid attention to the pin numbers. Really was pretty easy once everything was open and you could see what you had. Braided clutch cable was a bear because the exhaust had to come off and the new block and extended brake lines was a snap. All new braided cables accept for the throttle as I wanted to get a measurement before ordering. That’s the next project.
What a difference in comfort going down the road. Wish I put the apes on sooner. About 4-5 hours in the garage on Saturday and I was back out on the road.

Now the question is with the apes on there … Windshield or No Windshield ... That is the question? Love the function but hate the look!

 

I've got the same style windshield on mine and feel the same way regarding appearance, however, I'm tired of the 70 MPH bug strikes. Around town, the windshield stays off.

 

Yeah i'm pretty happy with mine took me awhile but it was worth it.I went with 14" wild1's.Nothing better tan doing it yourself and saving alot of coin. Enjoy.
