This is a new one to me. Has to be the seat or the bags - nothing else can retain odor.

Ex-smoker here. I can smell that chit a mile away.

I have an ozone generator I use in vacant rent houses. It does wonders for smoke smell. You could probably rent one if it's that bad and run it in your garage for 48 hours.

Personally I keep a water bottle in my saddlebag for an ashtray so I don't leave stogie butts laying around but have seen more than one person just toss butts in their bags. Doing that is something that could cause a righteous stink after awhile.

If it were me I would remove the seat and bags, put them elsewhere or in a garbage bag and see what happens one piece at a time.

Are you sure it's cigarette smoke and not maybe mildew from the seat foamrubber being soaked at one time. Just a thought.

Try cleaning and conditioning the seat with a quality leather cleaner. Enjoy your new ride, and congratulations!

Get a large bottle of Dr. D (Jack Daniels) and pour it over the seat and saddle bags...

Let it soak in for a couple of days and that should help to get rid of the 'cigarette smell'..
