I am with the others. When I ride I shut the thing off and in the bag it goes. If you do it regularly it becomes habit and then you have your out for not answering the calls as to where you are and when/if you are coming home.

I use a powerlet jack that plugs into the tender cables. I have the cable run into my solobag and when I need to charge I usually just plug the phone in and drop it in the bag. I don't use it too often, just when I'm camping with the bike.

In case you're still in the dark ages, cellphones today do a lot more than make & receive phone calls.
I'm not interested in talking on the phone while riding either, but the phone is great for streaming tunes via Bluetooth to a helmet headset.

Heck, with a minivan you could even watch DVD's.

wow cell phones and bikes lol

I thought the idea of going for a ride was to get away from all that **** and relax

although it would be a good thing to carry with you in case you need to call for service or an emergency

I have an SAE plug for my pig tail. Keep it in the bag. Haven't had to use it yet. But for $10 bucks why risk it.

I have a Kuryakyn Pod II on my windshield. It has a built in cig lighter plug. For those that say shut it off and use it for emergencies only, I use my phone for music mostly while riding. It connects to my headset in my helmet via bluetooth. It is nice to be able to listen to music on the long rides and take a call from the wife when she wants to talk.
