no....nothing else is needed...it's plug and play. This unit is the 12 LED BAL2...yes the more expensive version but...it speaks for itself I think.

Thanks again (and again). I was thinking of going for the HD option that has the rear signal lights turn into full on running lights, but this seems even more noticeable. Can both be done?

yes both can be done...but you would need the load equalizer with the turn signal/running light kit......I've looked into it for when I pick up my ultra

I just picked up the BAL-1 model today. List price is 199.95. Got it at my local HD dealership for 179.96 (including tax). Installed it just now. Super easy install. Very impressed with this product. Dunno why I waited so long to get one.

The best thing I have purchased!!! I notice that people no longer get right on my A$$ at lights and even my wife and kids, following me one day could not believe how bright they were. I have it on the 2 strobe and then steady but there are several patterns!!! They should make this standard on all bikes....don't hesitate to buy one!!!

I have the smoked with red l.e.ds set to the same as the youtube bike. It is one bright *** light. BTW, the smoked light cost more.....$250 but all my lights are smoked so this is what I wanted. My HD dealer didn't have the smoked in stock, took about a week to get.

I'm the OP. Thanks for replies. One reply tipped me off to ebay listing. I bought it at a bargain price. This forum is great. Hope it is the right one for my bike. I already have the HD kit that makes the rear turn signals red and both running lights and brake/turn signals. It only costs about $59 and is really good. I highly reccomend it, it makes the bike so much more visible at all times. I hope they will all run together and get cagers off my "bright ***."
