If it is a good tequila, the only way to drink it is by itself. Notice I said by itself and not yourself (insert invitation to Heather here).
Put it in the freezer and let it get nice and cold, then take small shots (body shots optional) or sip it like a brandy.

 

I'm fine w/Tequila, it's Jager I gotta avoid. It's my "go directly to jail" card.

I have yet to find anything that truely mixes well with tequila. Straight shots only. However, if ya gotta mix it with something, try orange juice, it'll beat the heck out of coke.

Don't need a blender for margaritas... shaken over ice is acceptable if you "must" go that route. If you are drinking HQT (High Quality Tequila - especially Anejo) then shots is the way to go. Can't say I'm much of a supporter of "sipping" though. If that's the case then I want to pour it on her and ... oh sorry, mind started wandering - it's either way too early or way too late to be on this thread thinking about drinking (more). I don't sip Grandma (Grand Mariner) for crying out loud, why the hell would I sip Tequila? Anyway... there's always Tequila Sunrises (personally I haven't had one of those since High School - 27 years ago) which don't require a blender, just some OJ and Grenadine.

Ah hell, if it tastes good with Coke, drink it that way.... you're the one who's gonna hafta deal with THAT hangover.

 

If it's good tequila, sip it straight. I get so pissed when my wife reaches for the salt & lime for a $50 - $60 bottle of tequila. But a good mixed dring is Buffalo ****. Use cheap Jose Cuervo to make it.

Couple of shots of Cuervo, then equal amounts of grapefruit juice and 7up.

Easy Margarita recipe (yousaid you don't wanta waste time with the blender slush routine... AGREE!, slush is for winter streets!). At the groc. store get a jug of "Mr. & Mrs. T's Sweet and Sour Mix"... put 2 fingers of tequila in a glass of ice cubes... add 4 fingers of Mr & MrsT's... drink it. No muss, no fuss, you're schnockered and nothing to clean up. Stay away from cops, exes and open flames.

Also no driving!
