You could always put a Honda engine on it.

My bike was dead quiet for the first 52k. I put in Andrews 26G's then. They were said to be quiet cams. I have since learned otherwise and have spoke to several others with the same result. My bike sounds like a diesel once it gets hot. I have swapped lifter brands, adjusted pushrods with way and that, and added a Baisley spring. Nothing resolved it. 12k miles now after my cam swap, I don't really pay much attention to it anymore.
Yep, the 26 usually are quiet.. sure its the lifters or the gears?,,
I had 26H put in 3k ago and its as quiet as stock, also have talked to couple others and theirs are the same, bout like stock.
Even what little I hear is expected when using syn oil, never tried to go back to dino, but several post in here I have read said that using dino oil would quiet it down more...

give andrews a call and talk with a tech,, I did before I choose them, they might be able to help...

Overall I love them and would go with the 26's again and would highly recommend them..

Holly shi!, I just spent about ten mins answering this two yr plus thread,,,, and he only has had a couple post since them.
what i get for being on here half asleep at four in the morning...

Yup! learn to love it! Air cooled engines do not have a water jacket to muffle sounds.it is what it is.
