Glad you decided to buy the Harley instead of the NightRod. I'd go for the standard FB--don't like the Low for 1 reason--the flat black frame. But then again--I'm a narrow-minded opinionated prick.

If you can get a 2012 with the 103" engine for 17600 otd, I think you have done well. Most people were/are getting the 2011 FB Lo for 16,500 to 17,000 OTD...

if you want to do 2-up and weekend trips have you thought about a Road King, still the traditional look but so so comfy :-)

I think the Fat Boy is the best looking bike Harley makes. The Lo is fine too but I'm not a big fan of bikes already customized from the factory. Either way, you have a cooler bike than all those dudes on their touring piggies... -L-

Yea most likley im going with the regular Fatboy in vivid black! Im going to add some black to it such as 14" black apes , Black air cleaner, some black to the primary, black lower fork tubes, black exhuast, and get the wheels powder coated black. And it will still have alot of chrome left on it! I think the end result will look great i like the idea of the chrome will pop nice with the black! I think in the end it will look nicer then the Lo because of the chrome accents instead of the silver matte finish on the Lo. Also the Regular fatboy is like 400 dollars cheaper which will go towards the mods!

This is my wife's 97 Fatboy that we traded it in for the 2011 Muscle. I agree, the the Softails are good looking bikes, but the EVO overheats, has clutch problems and are slooooooooow. Plus they're girls bikes :D
