Thanks to all!
Getting the final touches taken care of today for the 2011 Hoka Hey Challenge that starts on Friday morning. I will be heading down the mountain tomorrow and will probably be out of touch with all of you for the most part until I return home in about 3 weeks or so.
I just want to say THANK YOU to all that have been so supportive both with words and wallets as I have prepared for this years ride. You all know who you are and please know that I can't begin to express what your support has meant to me.
I will probably not be posting a lot here on the forum during the Challenge as it is just too time consuming to do so on my phone. I will however be doing updates on Twitter.com every now and then. Twitter is a much easier way for me to say what I have to say. As much as I like the forum it's not that user friendly when it comes to using my phone.
For those of you that use twitter and want to follow me my twitter account is HokaHey_Again
You can access the entire field of Challengers on the Hoka Hey website at www.hokaheychallenge.com and follow our progress via the GPS tracking units that we all have on our bikes. I believe the actual tracking will be active on Friday morning when the Challenge starts at 0543 hrs Pacific time.
My number for tracking is 59 and I believe that "DerVolenders" number is 104 but don't hold me to that.
Also can't thank Long Ride Shields enough for their generous sponsorship. It has helped a lot!
Again. Thanks for the good wishes and I'll be thinking of all of you as I muddle my way across this great land of ours and up into Nova Scotia hopefully on my way to a money finish in this years Hoka Hey Motorcycle Challenge.

Wishing you Godspeed and a safe journey. I'd like to wave at you when you pass through the Columbia Gorge but trying to find the precise time and place would be akin to sending a rocket to mars or someplace. I'll be following you though.
