The Republic of China and Peoples Republic of China are not the same thing. The ROC is the people who lost the civil war and moved to Taiwan. It is now a democracy.

The PRC is the communist replacement in China that has been in charge there since 1949.

So there probably is some cultural fusion between East and West, but it can also be seen as a dig against PRC, which does not recognize ROC as a country, but claims that Taiwan is still part of China.

You want to see them really get pissed off? Wait till they find out all the electronics on the bike comes from Japan. They hate those f*ckers!
