I can understand the requirement to go to a MSF class, but not the need to go every 3 years. It seems that they should review your driving record and if you have been a good boy, you get another 3 years. If you have some speeding tickets, or whatever, then a refresher may be needed.

 

Also ride to work every day weather permits. 25 miles one way. @ Great Lakes I haven't been harassed as long as I've got the requisite gear and a long sleeved shirt. I wear the vest commuting just to give me one more chance of being seen. They do, however, have a separate sticker with an "MCY." Not sure why it's necessary and haven't seen it at any other bases unti I got here.
