I've always gone with Davida, they're well made and not cheap.

Recently discovered the Licks Novdot. It's definitely improved on the mushroom look and is much lighter.

At the end of the day, you go down with an open face you're gonna do some serious facial damage - simple as!

I've one with a built-in faceshield that flips up & down, for when it's uber-cold.

But if I'm not going to want the faceshield to keep sub-freezing wind off my skin, I'll just wear a 1/2.

My Bell Custom 500 is the best helmet I've ever had. It's really light and comfy...and I get zero lift at highway speeds. I read the comment about "bubble head looking" and I just don't see it...but thats JMHO.

I've ridden with a number of 3/4 helmets over the years and I like the Licks NovDot the best. Very light and fits well. I hope they make a 1/2 helmet like it!

Means nothing....I shop helmet city and wait for the new models to come out then buy the higher quality last model on closeout. Always DOT certified. I just bought an HJC FF that is the same as the Harley $270 one for $89. In fact I have an HJC 3/4 as well that was $95 on closeout. Harley sold them for $179.

Motorcycle Superstore just sold the Bell 500 helmets on sale for $80

I used to think that too. Till I spent a day wearing an ARAI....
It may not provide more protection than a cheaper helmet, but quality, fit and quietness are well worth the extra $$$.
not to mention that no other helmet fits my bawling ball shaped noggin like an ARAI ...

Your heads only worth 330 bucks? I dont think they make a 12 billion dollar helmet that I would need then.

Until then Ill use my Licks.
