The auction is expected to close May 30, so there's time to get your funding together.
If the hog hadn't been totaled, Petrino still may have wanted to unload it, for a variety of reasons. We offer these guesses:
•He decided his time would be better spent repairing his marriage than fixing his bike.
•Coaching the Hogs was earning millions for Petrino. Riding a hog took all that away.
•Having a motorcycle wasn't going to be practical for a football season in which he'll only get to tailgate.
•He had his membership request rejected by the Hells Angels.
•The only person who encouraged him to keep it was Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.
•He came to grips with the fact his immediate future didn't include anything with a helmet.
•A middle-aged man attracting a young blonde with his motorcycle was a once-in-a-lifetime proposition.
•Between Arkansas, his wife and the motorcycle, he had been told to hit the pavement one too many times.
•He realized Harley-Davidson was not the name of a prized recruit.
