Hi,

i am trying to source a grommet that fits a 1985 fxrs rear belt guard grommet. Where the guard attaches to the swing arm a grommet is required?? would a photo help?

 

i think the belt guard is attached to the swing arm with ordinary pop rivets.

 

My 06 Street Bob came with a rubber grommet on the belt guard and when I put a new belt guard on it I ordered a new grommet. It just soaks up some of the vibration.
If you are looking for a part number, the 06 Bob uses one and I'll bet it will fit yours.
