STURGIS: Public Service Announcement
Please stand by for this important public service announcement......
While riding around the beautiful Black Hills, please know your limits and ride safely. In fact, check your mirrors regularly. And your speedometer. If your speedometer points to a number significantly under the speed limit and you see in your mirrors a 200-bike long procession of headlights, please feel free to (at the first safe opportunity, of course) signal a right turn and slowly exit the roadway, for ohh.... about 200 bikes' worth. Or until you see the rider of a 2011 Black Denim FLTRX giving you an emphatic thumbs up!
That is all. Now back to your regularly scheduled programming.

But how else am I going to enjoy the sites?
if I haul *** through the hills I'll see nothing at all.
So remain calm, keep it in 2nd gear, and look around!
enjoy the ride.
plus if I go to fast my wife bitches at me from the rear seat.

UH OH, it sounds like my buddies wife is riding in Sturgis!
Seriously, she'll lag a good 75 yards behind the bike in front of her and ride 5 miles below the speed limit, despite the fact that other bikes and cars are lining up behind her. She had a slight mishap (only hurt her pride) last year so now she's paranoid about not having enough reaction time when it's time for the group to turn or stop. It's embarrassing, creates a dangerous situation, and annoys the f*ck out of me and everyone behind her. Let her lead though, and sometimes you can hardly keep up! Some women...

p.s. I was being sarcastic, but wife does jump a little then yell when I scrape the floorboards.
I'd tell you to ride earlier in the morning because there are less people, but if every one does that then, well there wont be less people! so stay in your tent till atleast noon.
K thanks!

sturgis should last 3 weeks....first week people whose last name begins with the letters A thru H, second week I thru Q, and the last week R thru Z. there would be a lot less congestion at all the tourist spots, motels, and cafes...who knows, maybe prices would come down on lodging if the places knew they had 3 weeks to make money.

Also stay away from the center line on curves, just in case the bozo coming at you crosses into your lane. Lose at least one a year when somebody can't make a turn, unfortunately it's usually the person who was in the correct lane that gets the worst of it. Oh yeah one more, signal when you're planning to make a turn.
