No, I like my skeeter sneekers, they are comfortable and grip the road and pegs better than anything else I'vetried.

 

Dielectric soles on my boots will not help me when the power comes through looking for ground,I clear burning tree's and limbs from 34.5KV lines for living,they dont pull the fuses either,and i may be standing in a few inches of water/snow in my bucket while doing my work,being we work all day in the pouring rain and snow. I look for water proof,comfortable,steel toe's to keep a slip with a chain saw away from my piggies.I would like a pair of nice riding boots at some point.

Have a pair of Belleville, made in the US. Put them on for the first time 5 years ago and within 20 paces they were broken in. Been wearing them ever since.

I too wear steel toe's at work and have yet to have my feet feel cold from them. Maybe because I wear socks. Also I have a pair of Timberline's with a Titanium toe cap, and you can notice the difference in the weight. I ride with those alot. Either that or Converse High-Tops.

 

I switched to Steel Toe boots about two years ago and it took a little while to get used to 'em - and now I don't ride without. Thanks for the electrical discussion on here also - "you learn something every day!"

 

When I ride, I wear steel toed Abilene boots made in Somerset, Pennsylvania. The boots are very comfortable (Air Ride Comfort System), very well made and reasonably priced.
