Wide Glide Fuelpak question

Wide Glide Fuelpak question
Hey everyone. I just had a quick question to put out there. I have a 2012 Harley Wide Glide. I have purchased a State 1 air intake and Vance & Hines pipes for it. My question is do I REALLY need the fuel pak for it? An HD tech. friend of mine told me I could have the dealership download the Stage 2 to my ECM and I could basically have close to what the fuel pak will be doing. I am trying to do my mods with not spending a ton of $$, but at the same time do not want to due harm to my bike. The dealership tells me (of course) that I need the fuel pak and need to dyno it, etc. Yeah well that is $800 for the fuel pak and the dyno. I am putting the pipes and intake on myself to cut the labor cost of having a tech do it. Any help is GREATLY appreciated! Ride safe and have a good day!

IMO, the last several years of bikes need richened up right off the floor, forget pipes and a/c. There are several options, I'm partial to power omanders myself, but really they all work, although I think the fuel pack isn't findable enough if you do more in the future.
Dyno tunes are good for 2 reasons, squeezing every drop of hp out of your motor, and making it run as good as possible in terms of throttle response and running smoother. However, for most people a canned map is just fine and much better than stock.
