Default Compression Ratio Question

Other than cc'ing your heads and running numbers in a calculator like the one Big Boyz site, is there any way to check your static CR? Is there any direct correlation to running a dynamic pressure test? My 95" build is supposed to have 9.8:1 CR with 9.5 flat tops, heads decked .020, and .040 gasket. I hear everyone write about how strong their low end is with the SE204 cams, but mine feel a little soft on bottom end and much stronger on upper end, almost like I do not have enough compression to increase low end torque. Guy who did heads did not cc them, but told me they should be 83.7cc, but I am starting to wonder if my compression is lower. 9.8CR should be at the top end for these cams as I understand. What is the upper CR for 204's that anyone has run and did you see any improvement on low end? I thought I saw Hillside say they had real good power at 10.2, but have never seen anyone run them that high. I have been thinking of changing cams to TW6, CR575, or Torqster 555 and pulling heads and bumping compression. Just wondering if it might be worth decking and cc'ing heads with 204's and only change cams, if they don't work well.
Also wondering what top end CR is for Andrews 26 cam? Have seen a couple dyno's of 95" with 26 cams pulling really good number 100+ numbers and the bike is still pulling above 5000 RPMs. That kind of build with strong torque at 1800 rpm is sounding better and better.
Been thinking about this too long and starting to get confused with options. Any advice is appreciated.

I'm certainly no expert, but I think the 204's do come on at higher RPM at the cost of low RPM grunt. Someone will chime in.

I have the SE 204s on a 96ci, no head work. Low to midrange cams, not a high rpm.

My 204s start pulling around 2500 rpm and up. From a stop, the bike definitely has less torque or quickness than stock.
