i don't know about the helmet itself, but the outlaw has d-rings while the akoury has the ratchet type chin strap.

 

I was tboned by a car on 6/1 I was wearing my ak88 my head hit asphalt hard and no injuries

 

I’m wanting to buy one in medium, but every place I look at lists them as “out of stock.” The company website says “under construction.” Does anybody know if Akoury is even still in business?

 

I was going to recommend Blackbeards motorcycle gear,but they appear to be out as well.

 

Best legal half-helmet I've ever owned! No mushroom head and light! I won't post a picture as it has *%#$ Political Correctness (the actual first word there, not those sysmbols) on both sides (I used one of those neat paint pencils you can get in Wally World!). I only get the flat black helmets, by the way, I'm just not big on the shiny stuff if I have a choice.

I got mine from Black Beards, which I was also going to recommend but they are out of stock. They do have a notice at that link that says more inventory (specifically AK-88) will be arriving June 15th. So I'm assuming Akoury is still in business... maybe check again after the 15th?

I ordered one from Blackbeard's in April, my second from there. I had a a couple days later. It's that time of year where everyone is buying helmets and they hopefully just need to restock.

 

That does seem suspicious. Who knows, maybe just moving to a new location or have some other company thing going on they had to shut down production for a bit.
