Default Stupid Question Time

I feel dumb asking this - but how the heck do you get the oil check cap off the oil tank on a 2013 Fatboy Lo? I tried unscrewing it, but it just turns and turns. Then I tried just lifting it off, but after using a bit of force, it doesn't seem to want to come off, and I don't want to break it.

Yup, checked that. The owners manual simply says "remove dipstick". There is a picture, and nothing looks threaded, so I'm assuming I just need to pull harder.

They say the only stupid question is the one you don't ask. You just proved them wrong. Just kidding!!!! If it's like mine it just pulls off. I guess it is kind of tough but then again you don't want it coming off by itself either.

This it's a tight fit like a good coffee cup tumbler lid with the rubber seal that squishes to "pressure" lock it.

Not a stupid question. Stupid questions:

What color should I paint my bike?

What bike should I buy?

Does this jacket look gay?

etc, etc. You get the picture.

No, these aren't "stupid"...they're the most ridiculous, asinine, can't you decide for yourself questions.

I tried yesterday to pull mine out after I had ridden it and had to put a glove on. It was a tad "warm".

The cap is just rubber under the cap. Just pull firmly and try not to slop oil everywhere.
