Default Novelty Helmets In A No Helmet State?

What's the point? Maybe his wife or mom doesn't know the difference? Maybe a little bit is better than nothing? Maybe he doesn't have a clue?
Was riding home tonight and a biker... or maybe he was a rider... or who know's maybe a poser or a RUB passed me wearing a WW II novelty helmet. I just don't get it. What's the point of wearing a useless helmet in a non helmet law state? Maybe it was a fashion statement. OK so I am bored so I took the time to even post this! :-)

Maybe in the military and is required to wear a helmet of some sort. Where I'm stationed the gate guards don't care if it's DOT or not. Why don't you ask him next time you see him?

Does it matter if he's a "biker" or a "poser"? Arent we all here cause we love this habit, hobby, passion or whatever else? I wear a plaid shirt when i ride, am i a poser? Who cares what he has on his head? If he likes wwII helmets, big f**king deal.

That's right - you're a RUB Poser. Nobody cares what you love . . .

I'm just joking. . . and I haven't even started drinking yet. LOL

So a viking helmet would bother you too? Personally I think they are hilarious.

I find some amusement with folks who spend more time gearing up with a dew rag, ear plugs, face mask and goggles when it would be quicker just to wear a ff helmet.

I think some look cool but I wouldn't wear one. If I crash, I want to give my head a chance, no matter how small. But with those, all they'll say is, "Funny helmet! Too bad it didn't help keep his brains in."
