Default Riding like an newb

Still kills me that after 15 years of riding there are days when I need to just park the bike and take the cage. Was super unsteady and just out of it on the way home from work today. Does this happen to anyone else?

You know riding is akin to playing golf. there are days I play really well, others I vow to never pick up the clubs again. same with riding, there are those days that I have things on my mind and am not totally focused, this affects the way I ride. maybe I have been off the bike for awhile, this too affects the way I ride. but never once have I said I would never pick up the bike again.

It means that you are not spending enough time in the saddle. I went for over 4 years with nothing but my 1981 kick only FX for my transportation and I became 1 with that bike. You may ride for many years in time but it is the miles that count. When you find a 2009 bike and it only has 5,000 miles on it, you know that the owner has ridden only weekends for the most part.

This happens to me in my car. Every once in a while I feel like I'm 14 years old stealing my dads old Buick for a joy ride.

I don't think it has anything to do with how many years, or how many miles he's ridden. I've been driving and riding for over 30 years with many many miles and it happens to me at times. Sometimes the brain just shuts down, or is too cluttered.

Yeah, was a super long day at work, kid has been sick and not enough sleep. Just didn't feel right, not dangerous or anything. Didn't really stop riding this winter in Germany, we didn't have a lot of snow this year. I was not out of control or about to dump the scoot at any given moment, just felt off.
