Well don't thank me too much. You can still be stopped and cited for loud pipes. But without the sound test, the ticket will (or should) be tossed in court due to lack of evidence.

Without the sound test how does a LEO prove in court your bike exceeds a decibel limit?
But if the the traffic court judge is corrupt, the test isn't needed in court. if you have loud pipes, don't flaunt it.
