$15,000 bike on a $150 Trailer
 

The $15,000 might be a stretch but,
I was running about 75mph on one of the worst roads in Louisiana when this passed me doing about 80mph. Every time they hit a bump in the road the whole trailer flexed with the bike. Those little tires were doing about 150 mph. I was waiting for it to all come apart and explode on impact. :icon_screwy:

When buying a trailer, the first thing I would need to know would be the tire size. I personally wouldn't buy ANYTHING with a smaller than 13" automobile tire, preferably 14". As far as weight goes, trailers have weight ratings with load capacities. Again, I wouldn't trailer with anything rated at least for 1-1/2 times my load capacity. As long as what you are carrying is secured properly, no worries.

"One of the worst roads"? When we went to Bossier City, we got beat to death by the interstate highway going there.

As for the trailer, good or bad road...that's a disaster waiting to happen.

Just stupid but to each his own. When looking at trailers it was about a $500 difference for real trailer tires.

The bike seems to be secured to trailer, the trailer is small but heavy duty. The road seem to be up to par. My safety concern would be with the the driver taking the picture.

I have a trailer similar to that. I have done some things to beef it up , it has grease serts on the wheel hubs but still has the 12 in tires, added some angle iron to a few spots , I would not pull my bike at 80 mph with it but 70 should be fine. I have seen seadoo boats trailers that use the same 12 in tires . I carry two extra spares always. So far I have never needed or used the trailer other than a test run around the loop.
