Harley battery vs off brand?

You drank the cool aid..no turning back now. I smile ever time I hit the key on my $80 AGM Walmart battery. Now if they only sold Harleys.

While I understand your concern about the the charging system you could have checked that yourself with a decent (Fluke) volt ohm meter. As far as batteries I would never drop a dime on a HD branded battery. Ran an Odyssey for over 5 years and while quite happy with that I decided to try an Interstate when it died. Have ran other batteries but so far these are what I like best.

I need to replace the battery in my Dyna, I like savings the money and I'm considering the Big Crank, but I need to know, does HD make a black battery cover, so I don't have a light gray battery on the side of my blacked out ride?

I just bought a battery from battery plus. I was on my 2nd HD battery. It was dead on a Sunday morning so I went to battery plus instead of waiting for the HD shop to open Monday.
My first HD battery lasted 5 years the 2nd lasted 3-1/2 years so I will see how long the battery plus one lasts.

I bought a deka from o'relies auto to to go in my fxdl 2 years ago. The original lasted 8 yrs on a tender. Installed myself and saved lots between the battery and labor.
