One of the guys I ride with take turns picking destinations. Often times it starts out as an HD dealership from 60 to 200 miles or sometimes more away. Just a game we play for an excuse to ride. Once we leave our destination dealership we figure out where to go from there. Once it even paid off as I came across one, Black Wolf in Bristol that happened to have the perfect apes I had been looking for. It is mighty hard to find anyplace, especially an HD dealership that carries a decent selection of bars.

I only go to the stealer for oil, filters and gaskets. My warranty is up in 6 days and I probably will frequent the stealer about the same amount...

The stealers around aren't too bad for customer service, but their pricing keeps me buying aftermarket. A set of Rush Slip Ons are far superior sounding compared to the Screaming Eagles, and half the cost so why buy from the stealer?

I will probably continue running the HD filter and Syn 3, because I believe in the Best OEM parts and not aftermarket snake oil so that will at least keep me coming back.

There's Harley riding jackets I'd like to get, but for the Price I could get An American Made Fox Creek Leather Jacket ... I was going to get apair of HD boots but opted for a set of Irish Setter Redwing boots, which again kept me out of the stealer...

So without much value, why bother anyway?

Fox Creek is topnotch. Have one of their awesome jackets, excellent chaps and their Chippewa boots are hard to beat. Excellent customer service that you will NEVER find at a HD dealership'

Every time I'm close to a HD dealership, it's like a star trek tractor beam......... sucks me in, but, I've been able to stop spending recently.......I'm building a resistance...... no, really, I am.....I think.........

I started my Harley life on a 2000 1200-C and I still enjoy going to Harley dealers.

Black Wolf does have a great stock of bikes and accessories, I just couldn't make a deal with them for my bike. Their floor staff is great though, and I still drop in occasionally. I'm still new to Harley's so I enjoy visiting dealerships. It's a LOT different that a visit to an import bike dealership.

I haven't been in a dealership since about 2010. If I don't do it myself I have a great indy closer than the dealer. Before that maybe once a year.

Santa Cruz HD used to be a very good, small dealership but they closed many years ago. Since then, I do not hang out in HD dealerships. I have a friend that lives a little over 200 miles from here in Jamestown, CA where there is another good, small dealership. When Jamestown HD has an event, it gives me an excuse for a good weekend ride. Other than that, only for parts that I can't get anywhere else.

I used to go by the dealer every couple weeks and browse the shelves and check out the bikes on the floor. Same stuff, different day. Last few times I went by the dealer just to check things out I found myself walking back out the door within 5 minutes. Now I can't even remember the last time I found myself there other than driving by.
