Cool Any V rod riders? ?s

looking to see and get some input from Vrod owners or those that have previously owned a V rod? thinking of trading my softail on a new night rod special? Most of my riding is split between in town city stop light to stop light and open road highway and country roads.
I have even considered a new sportster? the x bones does not do it for me in city riding
pros and cons of the vrod?

Had a 2006 Nightrod with mid-controls ... I thought it would be easier to ride coming off sportbikes, but removed the mids in favor of forward controls. It was a decent handling bike with decent power, but not the best for two-up or distance riding. I did a Bub 7 2-1, FM-mapped Power Commander, topless K&N and ME880's with a 200 rear. After buying the Streetglide and finishing the motor build, we never rode the Nightrod so she was eventually sold.

i have a cetain weakness for a night rod and i really want one, they seem so comfortable when i test drive them. but imo they just dont work with add on (saddle bags, windshield, etc) it just ruins them. so they IMO work best as a naked bachelor bike. but again ive never owned one and thats just imo. i have an 08 fxdc

I've owned a couple Sportsters, a Blackline, and a couple Buells. For the riding I usually do, around town, alittle interstate riding, the Vrod Muscle I now own is the best bike I've owned. It's smooth , powerful enough and comfortable enough, BTY I'm 6' 0, 55 yrs old, very solid and underrated bike in my opinion.
