66yrs old and recently bought a '14Ultra--will it was tough to write the check sure was worth it--ride most every day(in season anyways)--about 175 miles yesterday--been riding since '65(norton first then harleys) and don't see giving it up anytime soon but may have to get a part time job to buy any accessories!! Long riding days(800miles) are gone--start later now and quit sooner---

I'll be 68 next month.I'm retired (been since I was 50) and I enjoy riding my Ultra ,sometimes with the guys from my Chapter or solo.I have a dislike for the rain and I try to avoid riding in it if I can,but other than that I love being in that seat feeling the wind in my face.

I turned 69 on the 17th of July - decided to quit riding my one year , 4 days old 13 Limited, having put 28,235 miles on it **********AND so I traded it for a 14 Limited!! My local riding bud is 72, and he only logged 17K in 12 mos. Guess old age is catching up to him. I'm blessed with good health, and grateful.

What a dumb *** statement. I could add more... At a risk of being banned.. So I will refrain. For the moment.

I am 73 and ride my 99 Softail Custom 200 to 250 miles a day some days. I ride with a bunch of old retired guys called the ROMEO RIDERS (retired old motorcyclists eating out) most Wednesdays to eat at some small town resturant. Some of the guys that show up are well into their 80's and are very good riders. We have one guy that has a cane holder on the handle bars of his Sporster to use when he gets off. A few of the guys ride trikes or side car rigs. I will quit riding when I don't believe I can handle the bike anymore, or when my old Softail is worn out. Like thats going to happen. LOL

Great post! That's kinda what my father in law and I do. I'll have to tell him we're ROMEO Riders!

And, that's my longer term plan...when I honestly feel I can't handle the bike, either because of simple loss of strength, or due to a physical shortcoming, I'll just move to a trike!
