need help getting rid of Kuryakyn adhesive
Gents,
I'm getting a new head unit installed later on today on my 2012 FLHX, and thought it would be the right time to finally run the power from my amp to the battery. In order to do that I obviously need to remove the gas tank, which I started doing.
Looks I have a possible problem. My bike has the Kuryakyn Heat Deflectors and also a Kuryakyn chrome Neck Cover installed by the previous owner. Both of these parts are attached by some adhesive, and they prevent me from removing my tank.
Any suggestions on the best/easiest way of removing those parts?
Alex

Like he said fishing line but first soften the adhesive using heat. If you don't have a heat gun, a hair dryer (though not as hot) will be better than no heat at all.
Also WD40 solves most adhesives so it may work to remove left over adhesive residue. Then remove the WD with rubbing alcohol.
