I Admit It - Can't Take Long Rides
#102
Timely. Under the category of T.M.I., if my 'rhoids are going to act up, it will do that riding the Fatboy Lo. I'm guessing an Airhawk R seat pad might be what the doctor ordered (along with the other usual remedies). Is advertised as "Center cutout area runs from front to back of cushion." Sounds about right.

I think I'm in the minority here, but I don't really like rides that last more than about an hour. Maybe it's the bike (Fatboy Lo), or maybe it's my 56 year old a$$, but after about an hour my butt starts to get numb, or my back starts to hurt. So while you guys are riding 600 miles in one day, I've got a range of about 60-80 miles. Kinda limits where we go, but there's lots of good destinations within 80 miles of our house.
I do love riding, and do it every chance I get. But it's never very far or very long.
Anyone else feel this way?

Trying a new saddle from one of the major seat makers should make a huge difference. If you decide to go with Corbin, be advised... they make a great product, but in the event of a dispute they can be very difficult to work with. I bought two seats from them over the past three years or so - the first was perfect, the second had major issues and I had to initiate a dispute through my credit card company to resolve it.
