Go sit on them and see which fits. I love the low rider look, but my 6'3 *** has zero wiggle room on that seat, it puts a rather uncomfortable alone of pressure on the family jewels. The breakout is just beautiful, but it won't be nearly as functional

The Breakout seems like much more of a bar hopper to me. Which is fine if that's what you do.

The Low Rider, on the other hand, seems like a motorcycle. You know, when you close your eyes and picture to yourself what an FX Harley should be. A Low Rider is what I'd bet most of us here would picture. Ask an old timer to draw up what he thinks an FX is and he'll sketch the Low Rider almost every time.

The Low Rider is much more versatile than the BO. The LR is quite adjustable out of the box. It can be setup to be anything from a traffic dodger to a long-haul tourer.

To me, the BO seems to be a pretty boy scooter. YMMV.

For the riding you have described, You will be much happier with the Low Rider.

Low Rider.... Advantages include dual front discs for better stopping, better ergonomics, a 'real' passenger seat section, and smaller rear tire that makes handling more crisp. A wide rear tire means more tread on the road, making the motorcycle want to push through turns instead of go around them. This can lead to an understeer condition. Styling is a subjective call.

I have a Breakout, and have had my eye on the new Lowrider since they came out. They are both awesome bikes. Just buy the one that speaks to you the most. Either one is fun in its own way, and there really isn't a wrong answer.

I absolutely love mine. The ONLY reason I would go with the Low Rider is if I had to ride two up. I don't.

You guys saying the LR handles better might be surprised if you took the time to learn to ride the BO. I've had a dyna, Wide Glide, and I could ride circles around it with the BO.

The BO has a low center of gravity that allows me to toss it around like a much smaller crotch rocket. 24.5" seat height means you wallow in it, you don't sit on top of it. I've put over 600 miles on it in one day and got up the next morning ready to do it again. I've got just over 21,000 miles on it since October of last year. This Harley freaking rocks.
