I have a Li'l Joe's leather vest. It has a gun-pocket (inner left-side). The leather is very heavy, and the lining is heavy duty. It's a very well-made vest. It had a really strong leather smell when new. I got used to it. Can't speak for others who were in the immediate vicinity. The smell has settled down after a couple of years. They're going for about $330 with a 20 to 50 up charge for sizes bigger than XL, and for a 3" length extension.

I got mine (SOA style) for quite a bit less. The issue with mine was, it was made with a smaller-than-stock gun-pocket. Mine fits a small 9mm (Ruger LC-9) fine. (The leather is heavy and there's no outline printing). But you aren't going to get a bigger pistol in there. My understanding is, all their vests come with a larger gun-pocket…mine and a few others were manufacturing errors, which they blew out at greatly reduced prices.

I also have a Legendary (same style). It is zippered (versus covered snaps the LJ has). This vest is well-made. It is lighter leather. I prefer the Li'l Joe's. I like the heavier leather.

Alan

I have Fox Creek jacket and leather overpants, great quality.

I got my vest from Walter Dyer, made in USA, also good quality and price.

Cant comment on gun printing but my iphone doesnt show through.

Fox Creek makes great stuff. But they sure are proud of it as reflected in the price now days. You can get the same or better quality at a lower price from a few of the makers already listed in this thread.

Thanks for the feedback. I want for a Fox Creek V-neck Rebel vest. Looking forward to receiving it - I hope it is as nice as I expect it to be.

Well actually, for similar vest types (we will go with the SOA style since Lil Joes really doesn't make any other kind).

Lil Joes SOA $324

Legendary Reaper $229

Fox Creek Rebel $209

Hillside SOA $189

So really Fox Creek is in the bottom half of pricing at least for this style vest from the 4 US made companies I listed.

Chiming in a little late as you already ordered, but I've had my Fox Creek vest for about a month and 2500 or so miles of riding and really like it. The leather is second to none and their customer service is great too. Got some of their chaps too...absolutely top notch stuff.

I'm happy with my Lil' Joe's. However, I use my REI windbreaker vest almost exclusively now because it's more versatile.
