You go faster by holding the twistgrip open longer.

 

Remove all unneeded items on the bike, yea windshield, saddle bags, crash bars, and all other creature of comfort things. Replace seat with nothing but a slim piece of foam, take of fenders, replace fuel tank with a 1gallon fuel cell, and add exhaust, cams, intake, and tune then you've got a bike that can hang with a 600cc crotch rocket in a straight line.

Or just trade for a 1000cc+ crotch rocket, or drop one of those 4cyl engines in your bike. Hate to say it, but you're in the wrong hobby if you want cheap.

OR just find some more curvy roads with sharper corners and stay at the same speed, you'll be happy with your bike's speed as is. Then come back a ask for more speed when you're scraping your pegs and exhaust in 50mph curves.
