A little off topic but there’s really no advantage and maybe a couple of disadvantages to running those expensive platinum plugs. You’ve discovered one with the removable tips. The HD Ion sense system is designed for stock plugs. While some bikes work ok with them, some can actually have issues with the non stock plugs.

So I swapped out my spark plugs because I just bought the bike and its got a little over 17k on it. My first question is, one of the boots on the spark plug wires feels like it kind of snaps into place and takes a little effort to pull off again, where as the other boot comes right off. I took a picture inside so you can see what im talking about...the little metal collar in the "bad" boot looks more recessed/smaller. Not sure how bad this is and if i should get it replaced? The bike still started but now im concerned that it could just pop out during a ride.
On another note, just curious how my old spark plugs looked, one was a little whiter than the other, but in looking and comparing to pictures online, they look pretty good to me.
Thank you in advance for any tips or advice.
