How to remove saddlebags from Road King Classic ?

Been riding a Fatboy for quite awhile, and now just bought a nice 2008 Road King Classic, only 9K miles ! I want to take the seat off to replace the battery which the seller said was about 8 years old. But,, it doesn't show how to pull the bag in the manual, only for the hard bag model. I've done a search on Google and Youtube, but no luck. I see behind the bag, there is a plastic lever of some sort, but not sure what that does. Looking for input

Unless the classic is different from the FLHR, you don't need to remove the bags....and yes, the fasteners inside the bag are what you turn counterclockwise and pull outward to remove bags.
