Default Kuryakyn Switch Blade Pegs

I own a 2012 Street Glide. I just bought the Kuryakyn Switch Blade Hidden Highway Pegs. I dont really like having to manually release them from their closed position. I was wondering if anyone has any kind of ideas on how to make them spring loaded so I can maybe tap them and make them release to the open position. Right now they are either opened or closed by having to physically release the locking lever to open or close them. Which means it kind of a pain to bend over and flip the lever and then pull or push the pegs into the position I want. If anyone has any ideas please. I m open for suggestions. They are really cool but I want something a bit more.

I just used my feet when I had them. You can tilt the board up a bit with your foot and then hit them with your toe.
