A few more pics of the black paint and the Dakota Digital custom gauges they made for my project. They normally only come with chrome bezels, I had them powder coated black

 

Well, I added a true HID lighting kit to the bike, or will when we start to put it back together. Expensive, but better lighting is always a good thing to have. Less power use and crisper/brighter light with HID

 

I was thinking of HID for little oval spots instead of replacing the headlights. I just ordered a pair of J&M's today, once they come in I'll figure out when to take my outer fairing off and do all the things I was planning on. At that point I'll see where to mount the PIAA's.

This is the inner fairing, and it looks sooooo much better painted than the dull dashboard black plastic it was;

 

Here is a shot of the speedo and tach with the custom Dakota gauges. What's custom on them? The trim bezels only come in chrome, I worked it out with them to have them blacked out before I got them. 8)

 

That paint is killer.... It is going to look awesome put together. keep the pics comin

 

Got the rear fender done and on the bike today. Graphics have started and powder coat is back and in the process of being put on the bike.

Well, got a few things done and ran into a few snags.
Done;
Black handlebars back on
Speedo nacelle with Dakota black gauges back on

Snags;
1 brake line too long
Fat Baggers flush mount axle won't fit into fork leg

So, tomorrow the ceramic coated V&H Ovals will go back on. Wire up the CB radio and work on the front axle some more. If anyone has any help on that axle, please feel free to comment!
