I know where you're at. I've done some work in the past at (formerly) Victor Plastics. I'm trying hard to come up with any excuse I can to do more riding this year! I've been entertaining the idea of starting a post for all the Iowa (and nearby) members to see if any would be interested in a Saturday meet and greet. Maybe a loosely organized ride, I don't know. I just though it might be worth a try since I see a lot of Iowa members on here lately.

Morning Brian. I work just 2 miles north of VPI.. Im sure you saw the water tower from 80. Our facility is right under that tower. I would be interested in a M&G ride. Im looking for somewhere to ride tomorrow. I dont want to goto Conesville again... been there, got the shirt. Some of us are riding to the Freedom Rock in Greenfield Sunday the 25th. Ill post a thread about that ride in the Iowa section as well.

Good morning Bob. I tried to post last night but kept getting an error page![:@] Today is going to be such a great day for riding! I'm trying to figure out how to squeeze some in. I go every other Saturday for a haircut and today's appointment is at 1:45 so of course it cuts my day in half![8D] Looks like tommorow should be just as nice though! That Freedom Rock ride sounds fun. I've been wanting to go see it ever since I first heard about it!

 

Cadillac Bob, you must work at Victor mfg. I worked there for about 10 years in quality control. That was around 1981 to 1992. I operated the coordinate measuring machine. Still know a lot of people there. Stopped through and caught up on old times a time or two.

Yeh, that we me. The place sure did change since I left.

 

Yes, changes are always goin on here. Chuck retired last Dec. Old AGM is now the GM and Controller is now AGM. All promotions were from within and thats ALWAYS good. Looking forward to running into you at IT.

If anyone wants to ride along, Ill be at the Phillips 66 Short Stop at exit 201... its the station on the NW corner of 80/21. Ill get there about 9:00am and KSU at 9:30am. Hope to see a good showing from the Eastern half of Iowa.
