Default Trike??

Well looks like I am going to have to move to a trike. I do not like the look of the kits I see. I would like the service bike from the 40s and 50s look. Anyone know of any Kits like that or repops out there

I searched around and surprisingy didn't find anything for a Harley Servi Car conversion specifically. But there are trike conversion kits out there, Lehman, Motor Trike, Champion, Roadsmith, Frankenstein... Opt out of the body and maybe you could look around for someone that could fab up the sheet metal for you?

A buddy of mine that fabricates stuff just for fun made one once, basically did everything from scratch, using a 60's Electra Glide donor, it came out really nice. He also had hundreds of hours in it. He generally only does his own stuff, though. But those guys are out there.

So an off-the-shelf kit, basically no. But hey, if you find the right guy and throw some bucks at them, you might end up with something nice. And possibly still not spend as much as on a new trike.

A local Harley mechanic (indie) told me he thought Mystery kits were the best. Apparently they have IRS and corner like a mother. Don’t know about the look. Good hunting....

Hmm.....my first trike (Electra Glide) had a Paughco conversion. That’s why I now have a Freewheeler. It was noisy to the point of distraction. No one - based on emails and phone conversations with Paughco could explain it. They are one of the more inexpensive options, but IMHO, there are better options...... Just my $.02.

Love those Servicars, the Essex County Park Police used them to patrol the parks when I had a summer job for the Park Commission.
